PFNDAI
tries to promote high quality food products
that are nutritious and safe. The seal of
approval is given after the product/available
data are analysed to ensure that it meets
the above criteria and the nutrients declared
on label are validated. The product then can
carry the PFNDAI logo on its label for an
agreed period under agreed conditions. The
consumers get the reassurance of buying a
safe and nutritious product when they see
the PFNDAI logo with endorsement statement.
Several products have been endorsed in the
past. Presently, Dabur’s Real range
of fruit juices is being endorsed as well
as GSK Consumer Healthcare’s ActiBase.
